leader in real estate education since 1979.
STEVE STROMFELD, the owner,
coordinator of REALTY INSTITUTE is a real estate professional in his own
right as well as the hands on person overseeing the entire operation of
this successful school. Steve's background includes residential real
estate sales as well as extensive experience in mortgage financing. He
has been involved in real estate education for over 15 years. He prides
himself in the professionalism of his staff of instructors which include
attorneys, real estate brokers, mortgage brokers and appraisers.
Each instructor, in addition to being a leader in his or her own field,
has been professionally trained to deliver the teaching material in such
a way as to make it all come alive and be understood by all.
DIANNE STROMFELD, our education
director, has a long and successful career as a real estate
professional. Over the years she has served as chairperson or president
of most committees for both the Multiple Listing Service of Long Island
and Long Island Board of Realtors. She was elected to serve as President
of the M.L.S. of L.I. as well as President of her local L.I.B.O.R.
chapter In addition she was a director of both the M.L.S. and L.I.B.O.R.
for over 15 years. Her other accomplishments include election as
President of the Century 21 Brokers Council. She has been a sales
trainer and management consultant to many large and small real estate
companies locally and nationally over the years and has written books on
the subject. Mrs. Stromfeld personally trains all of our instructors.
REALTY INSTITUTE allows salesperson
licensing students the opportunity to mix and match classes in
accordance with their own busy schedules by offering classes both during
weekdays and weekends each month. There is also a liberal make-up policy
in the event a subject is missed.
The subjects taught are mandated by the Dept. of State and include
license law, agency law, contracts, deeds, leases, financing, closing
and closing costs, fair housing, valuation of real estate, land use,
construction, and environmental issues and real estate math.. These
subjects are taught in a comprehensive, yet easy to understand manner
with instructors fully prepared to answer your questions as they arise.
This is important to you, since often the material being taught might
trigger a question about another topic. Because all of our instructors
are long time professionals in real estate and instructing, you will be
able to get those answers immediately, rather than having to wait until
someone familiar with another topic might show up again. Additionally,
we pride ourselves on our EXCLUSIVE TEACHING MATERIAL. As a salesperson
attendee at REALTY INSTITUTE, you will be using material specifically
prepared for our INSTITUTE. Unlike commercial textbooks used by most
schools, our textbook is updated immediately on an as needed basis. The
advantage to you is that as laws or rules change, you have the written
changes in your hands immediately. When commercial material is used it
might take a year or two to have the textbooks updated to the most
current information. We supply you with typical questions for study and
the correct answers. At any time you don’t understand the reason for a
particular answer, the instructor will be able to explain it to you as
soon as you ask. Finally, we supply you with a 2 hour audio tape that
condenses the most important points in the course and allows you to
study the terminology and points easily. By listening to the tape over
and over, even the terms that are totally unfamiliar to you when you
begin, will become recognizable and understandable quickly and
efficiently. As a result of this exclusive material we are proud of the
extraordinarily high percentage of students who successfully complete
our course.
We have our own teaching facility for your comfort and convenience
rather than using transient hotel space. This lends itself to a quiet
teaching environment with everything needed right on site.
